Adapter is based in Eindhoven (the Netherlands). It was founded in 2005 by a group of friends/artists who wanted to create a podium to express themselves.

Besides realising their own (individual) initiatives, working together with like-minded people is an important part of the way the Adapter Collective tries to reach its goals.
For the members of Adapter, their projects are the perfect environment in which they can further develop themselves, simultaneously stimulating and supporting other (beginning) artists.

At present the Adapter Collective effort focusses on the 'Genius By Default' concept. This is an regular acid event which was first initiated in 2009 and holds a current residency at Effenaar Eindhoven (NL).
