The association M.ar.e. (Musica e ARti Elettroniche, Music and Electronic ARts) was founded in Bari in 2001 in order to spread the practice and theory of music produced by technology of sound recording, synthesis and sound processing. Since 2004, it deals mainly with acousmatic music. For this purpose, in collaboration with a French association "Motus", which is an avant-garde on this field (M.ar.e. has a formalized partnership with them ), M.ar.e has realized a sound projection system, known as acusmonium, in Bari, that it's currently consisting of about forty loudspeakers and other devices useful for the acousmatic sound projection. 

By this instrumentation M.ar.e. organizes courses aimed at training of technical staff -musicians able to projecting acousmatic (under the Jonathan Prager's direction). 
M.ar.e takes part in concert seasons performing the historical and contemporary repertoire of acousmatic music and promotes 'Silence Festival' supported from local Apulian Istitution
