MOST countries in Africa have a genre of music that is unique to that part of the continent and cannot be found or replicated elsewhere in the world.

Namibia is one of the few countries that are still trying to find its own unique sound and artists often end up reflecting and projecting sounds adapted from neighbouring countries such as South Africa and Angola.

But that is not to say that local artists are not working hard towards this goal, and one group feels it has succeeded in finding its own unique sound that the whole of Africa is also likely to enjoy.

ATM which is short for “All about The Music” is the latest hip hop group that is looking to not only dominate the Namibian market but also carve out a niche for itself on the international market and it appears its plans are falling into place.
