The Might Asterix is a legend of the New Zealand reggae scene.
The first Reggae type toaster=mc in the south pacific.
His MC'ing and vocal skills have seen him gain a first-class reputation both in New Zealand and internationally. Asterix began MC'ing in the early 80s he got his sound system training doing fund raising shows for the 12Tribes. Around 97 until now he has worked closely with NZ`s Che Fu New Zealands Hip Hop legend, Fat Freddys drop, Blackseeds, StinkyJim and DLT, in 1997 he and DLT released the first ever Jungle tune in the south pacific, called return of the lion king on the True school of hip hop album.
Since 2009 traveled over to Australia and live there for the moment, also from 2006 been the lead singer for SALMONELLA DUB NZ`S most popular Reggae dub dance band.
