Giovanni Mazziotta, known as AnniMa, is Brazilian musician, singer, bass player, composer and producer from Nitéroi in Rio de Janeiro, now living in Prague.
He inherited Italian origin from his father and love for music from his mother. He started playing bass at 16, influenced by his cousin Sérgio. Two years later he started his carrier as front man, singer and bass-player of band A Theia which played in bars, clubs, universities and festivals of his city. AnniMa has participated in many projects by Brazilian musicians of new generation. He recorded a song “O pé de cajá” by Arnaldo Lazuli for album Movimento Pop Goiaba. He took part in recording album Hey, rapaz (2002) by compositor Claudio Salles and instrumental album Cassiotronic (2004) by Cassio Essir, and with Johanne Russell he recorded album of his own songs Verso de bamba (2006).
