Having lived in Singapore, Hong Kong, NYC and now Shanghai, ADO8 (Adrian Lai) draws influence from a myriad of source material, most notably Hip-Hop beats, Future Bass and 80's synth. On the peripheral, he dips into various genres, pulling sounds as he feels fit, mixing together a unique soundscape of deep bass-lines and breaks, soaked in synth.

As a resident DJ with STD, one of Shanghai's best-known promotion agencies, ADO8 has shared the stage with acts like Simian Mobile Disco, Digitalism, Tiga, Yuksek, MadLib, Phon.o, Canyons, Das Rascist, Coldcut, Jahcoozi, VHS or Beta, Airplane Boys, Trippple Nippples, Men, Surkin, Strip Steve, and more.
