Paul Oakenfold, Sasha and John Digweed essential mixes from 1999 and 2000 introduced me to the world of house/techno/trance/progressive music. I didn't immediately like the sound, but the more I listened, the more I fell in love the music. I loved the music so much that I decided to buy some DJ equipment of my own. Throughout my college years I spent much of my free time searching the Internet for downloads of mp3 house songs, and putting together mixes of my own.

After graduation and working the 9 to 5 jobs and getting my career started, I boxed up the DJ equipment.

Fast forward about 15 years. I found the rise of DJ controller units and online music stores to reignite my interest in mixing. Since the start of this year, I have purchased a Pioneer DJ controller, hundreds of new tracks, and gotten back into the game. I love this stuff.
