In this seventh installment of our Third Place (3dP) series on the COVID-19 pandemic, show host David Brown interviews Dr. Lina Moses. Dr. Moses is an epidemiologist and disease ecologist. She currently leads research activities for the World Health Organisation’s Global Outbreak Alert and Response Network (GOARN). Moses was appointed a technical advisor for WHO and GOARN for COVID-19 in mid-January and recently returned from a two month deployment in Geneva. In this interview, we take a closer look at the WHO's role, GOARN and the odd and unfortunate current conflict between science and politics that is playing out across America.
