In recognition of National Nutrition Month, show host David Brown interviewed three researchers from the Pennington Biomedical Research Center in Baton Rouge. Dr. Daniel Hsia, a pediatric endocrinologist and assistant professor for the Joint Diabetes Endocrinology and Metabolism Program, Dr. Desiree Wanders, an assistant professor in the Nutritional Physiology lab and Dr. Courtney Peterson, an assistant professor of research in the Skeletal Muscle Physiology Laboratory discuss a wide range of research including diabetes in Louisiana, timed eating and weight loss strategies. The researchers also describe various clinical trials or studies within which Capitol area listeners can enroll for free or even receive stipends.
