Reagan Carter, Director of Public Affairs at Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast, joins 3dP to talk about the recently concluded Louisiana legislative session, Planned Parenthood, and reproductive health issues in our state. Among the bills passed in the session were measures to bar Planned Parenthood employees from teaching in public schools, close abortion providers in New Orleans and Baton Rouge through requiring hospital admitting privileges from clinics providing abortion, among others. Reagan also talks about sex education (or lack thereof) in Louisiana schools, sexually transmitted diseases, and other failures of our state government to support the reproductive health of its citizens.
