Don Gregory, former Louisiana Medicaid program director and analyst with the Public Affairs Research Council of Louisiana or PAR, joins Third Place to talk about Louisiana's privatization of public Charity hospitals. PAR released a report on Louisiana's new health care safety net in December 2013. Our discussion touches on Medicaid expansion in Louisiana, the Affordable Care Act, the hospital privatization initiative by state government, and PAR's recommendations for health care in Louisiana.
