This show considers as many points as possible in the ongoing debate and struggle at the LA State Capitol over Senator "Bodi" White's proposal for another breakaway school district in SE Baton Rouge. Interviewees include Representative Patricia Haynes Smith and a spokesperson for the grassroots sponsors of the bill, Local Schools Local Children, Lionel Rainey.
NOTE: SB 563 passed in the House today by a vote of 59 - 37 - the companion bill, SB 299 is scheduled for vote on May 30th. Both must pass in order to send the proposed Constitutional amendment to state voters on the November 6, 2012 ballot.
