'Ambient' seems to be back on everyones lips and back in favour once again.
My first encounters with the genre were through the back rooms and after parties in mid 90's UK. A time when boundaries were constantly being explored and broken, when the music hadn't been divided up into a million sub-genres and there was still mystic surrounding electronic music, its sources and its capabilities.
This mix tips the hat to those backrooms. It presents beats and the beat-less, the rushy and the sublime , dysfunctional listening music for staring up at the ceiling.... or down at the floor.
