I had my birthday a few days ago and I HAD to do a livestream!
The “social distance” is defined as 2 meters, yet it expanded to lightyears between the performer and the audience. In the meantime the whole entertainment industry crash-landed (from cloakroom attendants to bartenders, from cinematographers to actors and from club-owners to DJs).
However a stage-junkie performer is a special breed…
We take on these absurd internet gigs not because we earn a bunch of money after the “huge amount” of clicks and monetization. Neither because we have a well planned marketing strategy that will keep the production in people’s mind.
But rather because we all miss YOU - our audience - very much.
I hope you understand the massive overflow of live DJ streams because we artists might need them more than you.
One day when we meet each other on the dancefloor we are going to appreciate the fact “we are one” even more, because we survived the loneliness in order to be together again.
