The Head Erect

The Head Erect

Playing tracks by

Zero, Paul Simon, Boards of Canada, The Beachles , Placebo and more.

The first piece is a collage I produced some time ago featuring the voice of Lyn Marshall, (who used to do yoga on the telly) over some generic new age relaxation shite. The rest just follows naturally. Well it does if you're me...

ferkin brilliant intro incl. PS (very best thing I've ever heard from him). .
.track 4 is hideous progeny of beautiful parents. . .Placebo. . . shame about the lyrics. . .Holger Czukay is always top (you know "Cannaxis"?). . .Björk track I haven't heard before, I have a soft spot for Björk. . .yes, sometimes it does. . .track 9. . .okay, waiting for a train somewhere. . .track 10. . .that isn't Pablo Moses messing with the desk, is it? No, I googled him and it's some-one called "Pete Stroud". . .so I'd call me Dr. Pablo too. . .or Muffin the Mule, or anywhat. track 11 - marvellous, definitely not a fan of Mistress Bush, but this is a little jewel :-) well, I'm a bit of an ornithologist, innit. . .I really enjoy Cowboy Junkies, they make me feel so. . .energetic (in comparison). . .so does Lou Reed, when I hear Lou Reed, I feel like I'm. . .Ted Nugent live. Track 14 - nice one. Good transition to Track 15. . .but for the 3-5dB jump and, well I don't care for Herrn Jackson's oeuvre, and these lyrics are, what the Irish call "shite" (with Gaelic lenition of the voiceless alveolar plosive) Peter Sellers - luvvit (did I tell you about the time I smoked a . . .with Mr.Sellers) and how about, of all people, Robert Wyatt clueing me up as to where JL got his intro for "Starting over". Well well. Highly entertaining Mix. . .I wonder how "Hold your head up" might have fit in here? (Argent)
