Inner World 018 - Moin

Inner World 018 arrives courtesy of Moin, hot on the heels of their year-best debut record, Moot!, out last Friday. Sonically there's few obvious crossovers between that album and this mix, the blistering and often ferocious energy of Moot! supplanted with a more restrained, explorative approach, drawing on all sorts of DIY underground activity, both past and present. The beauty of such a selection lies in how it connects the dots - Graeme Jefferies kitchensink missives make perfect sense when bookended with Behaviour's monochrome chug and Jjulius' similarly austere DIY expressions; Graham Lambkin a lonewolf spirit guide for the sonic experimentations of Laila Sakini, Wu-Lu++. And there's perhaps the connection with the music Moin make themselves - a fearless collection from those who approach music making with the same spirit.
