This mix covers the beginning of SAW/PWL's Golden Age - 1987! Kicking off with Mel & Kim, '87 was a big year for the production team - working with major names in the industry like Laura Branigan and Debbie Harry, as well as establishing their own mega-hit makers, Rick Astley & Kylie Minogue! Bananarama also left their longtime producers Jolley & Swain for the shiny pop decadence of SAW - original group member Siobhan Fahey would leave mid-promotion of their first of 3 albums with SAW. One of my most favorite of the PWL artists, Sinitta, first worked with the team in 1987 on her incredible and too often underrated debut album. And for my last fun fact, Mandy Smith was also the first artist to be signed to the newly formed PWL Records.
