The Voidwalker - Digital Frontiers (Melodic, deep, progressive house)

A couple of weekends ago I had the pleasure of playing at Autumn Arena festival in Oamaru, where I performed my first ever festival set, shortly followed by my first multi-hour festival set. Needless to say encouraging all those bodies grooving and steering the energies of the dance floor was an incredible experience! I learned many valuable lessons about playing music live. One of the main realisations that I gleamed was the fact that even the most relaxed, atmospheric songs sounded full and bassy and powerful on the sound system (this may of been helped by the four subs <3). I realised that I don't need to rely on upbeat, bass-heavy songs to get a crowd moving and relished the opportunity to take my audience on a multi-hour journey.

With this realisation in mind, this set takes a more mysterious, playful mood than some of my more upbeat sets. This set was also recorded today on my first-ever livestream over at https://www.twitch.tv/voidwalker_nz
