¡Hola todos! ¡Los saludos de España!
This compilation was inspired by the Paul Weller album release of 2004 entitled Studio 150, and the B sides from the singles off this album. The album was met with mixed reviews by the media, but it certainly encouraged me to continue broadening my listening horizons! Weller's music has always been a big part of my life, and so it was really interesting to hear his interpretations of the music that has inspired him. In this mix I have used the original artist versions or other earlier covers, and re-worked the play order from that of the album. I think it works, and I hope that you do too! Let me know.......

Cool collection. I'm a big fan of Studio 150. The only track that I think didn't work was Weller's version of "All Along The Watchtower."
Not that it matters much, but I thought you might be interested to know a few little details. PW probably based his version of "Family Affair" on this MFSB instrumental: http://bit.ly/2noLyL

"Corrina Corrina" is more likely based on Taj Mahal's version: http://bit.ly/3bhYZ8

And in interviews he said he tried to do more of a Isaac Hayes feel with "Close To You": http://bit.ly/bLncyp

And I really think he improved on Noel's tune for sure. To give it a New Orleans style vibe, now that was cool! Peace and SOUL..
