Pool or Boredom...

Playing tracks by

Mulatu Astatke & The Heliocentrics, The Black Beats, Group Doueh, Ray Scott, MC5 and more.

The title here is a bit random, was really struggling to think of anything. So this my first mix so no ramblings probably for the better.

Most of the songs are simply from my recent listening, which is perhaps why there is such as disparate group of songs; with a mix of blues, garage, jazz and a modern classical track from Jóhann Jóhannsson . This mix also shows a bit of my strange obsession with Detroit a song about the 1960s race riots by MC5 who are named after the city, as well as a track by Ray Scott produced by RNB detroit legend Andre Williams. Apparently the governor Ray Scott is referring to is George Wallace, which somewhat destroys the link to Detroit but there is still Andre Williams.

Great mix.

Hahaha that Dead Man's Bones song is so random, especially after that kickass jazz. Love it.
