Chicago Classics "HotMix" Dos

Music seems to always trigger nostalgia, it makes you remember a certain point in your life, certain people you met along the way, and the experiences you shared. This mix reminds me of growing up in Chicago's La Villita neighborhood, going to parties in friend's basements or attics and watching the DJs play the jams on the 1200's connected to a home stereo. The equipment would be set up on an old table and topped with a lone strobe or police light. The simplicity of it all added to the experience... what does this music remind you of?
