Btw did you read that Rrose piece in Resident Advisor - there's a severe telptaion to just scream 'Anyone Fancy a Pint?' but it's a brilliant insight into his mind - it's so bonkers but also so great that he operates in techno - the way he explains that he isn't the type of producer who simply makes tunes that signal "here's the drums, here's the kick, here's the pads now..." He's so right - that approach - and approach i gleaned someone else paraphrasing as "pad disease" - is a massive problem - tonnes of tunes do this and sound great the first 15 listens...but do they last? I don't think they do...Rrose is beyond that, everything on this mix is too - the great stuff is out there but there's not THAT much of it.
