"The venue did indeed burn. To the ground. And yet that very weekend I received a letter inviting me to a re-launch of the club. This was getting ridiculous. Was this need to be accepted, recorded even, as some kind of 'scene' verging on the pathological? When I got to the new address the door was open. Downstairs in a small dark room music was playing, or so I thought. The sound stopped abruptly and revealed itself to have been a hair-trigger fire alarm. In the silence I passed one other patron, on his way out. Alone, I saw that there was nothing in the room at all, this was no venue. I think I saw a rat. In the centre of the room lay a pile of thirty or so cassette tapes (remember them?). I waited for roughly an hour, no one came. The contents of the tape is uploaded here. CON * VULS, it seems, has convulsed its last."
