We shouldn't be content with the way things are
just because they are the way they are.

Pounding:

If you stand still
and remain real quiet
you hear the silent beating
the rhythm of my war drums

Now it's just a pulse
a suffocated fury
a fire, retarded by my apathy
but we stand together
poised to unleash this

Someone goes first
someone has to go first
one, and then another
because I know I'm not the only one
who can hear this pounding.
