Bubbles, Boxes, And Dirty Windows

Bubbles, Boxes, And Dirty Windows

Our worldview is shaped by our experiences.  Every single bit of data that hits our brains is recorded, analyzed, sorted, and becomes part of the filter we look through to see the world around us.
Similarly, this worldview shapes our own personal 'world'.  It determines the size of the bubble around us and the box in which we think.
Unfortunately, too many people build these bubbles and boxes out of selfishness.
Their experiential viewpoint leaves them with nothing but dirty windows to look through.
This leads to prejudice, to judgement, to attachment, to suffering, and in some cases, to violence.
Popping that bubble and getting out of that box, becoming more connected to the world around you, expands your heart.
You become more compassionate, more at peace, more generous.
You become someone people look to, someone people want to follow.
...and sometimes you become the person that someone needs in that very moment just to make it through another day.
There's a story, and it goes like
