New music sometimes takes a bit to get into. So I wanted to mix in some familiarity that echoes the same theme. I begin with some familiar tunes AR Rahman, Anoushka Shankar, and then quickly feature new music from ZZK’s Nicola Cruz, SSCK, Flavia Coelho, Esperanza Spaulding, and DjeuahDjoah. The throwback mix features Karantamba, Amara Toure, Bana OK, Remy Ongala and Ziad Rahbani.
