Egypt has always held an allure for Jazz musicians over the years. This mix aims to highlight some of the more interesting interpretations of the vibe of the land of the Nile. I have included some sixties veterans and some of the more nihilistic (pun intended) new players. The mix kicks off with a ferocious track by Norwegian band The Core, before settling back into some more meditative flavours. Enjoy!

Having been under the weather for almost a month I am catching up with what my fav friends/DJs have been up to. As usual you always put together a great set D! God bless u!
Sorry to hear you've not been well. Thanks for dropping by and checking the mix. Music is a healing force!
Almost halfway in.. Nicely done. Let's pray to the Gods that the first track gets a vinyl pressing at some point in time!
Thought about pressing vinyl myself. But the Core are difficult to contact. Might have to take a trip to the fjords!

And that you've done my brother : spoken to their souls and provoke their understanding : Hey that Quote by John Coltrane hit the nail perfectly on the head : Let me share this secrete : I have to run away from your mixes cause I know my mind and spirit will be drug : and like a junkie who's aim is to turn cold turkey gets seduce Yet again to take a little taste by unrelenting PUSHER MAN .. hahaha : ) LOved this session
Respect to Phavia Kujichagulia for the introduction to this mix.
Holly shit.. The chemistry between the body of sounds plus the physics in the motion music and your discernment is unfathomable : WOW .. You turned my stomach with this project :
"My music is the spiritual expression of what I am – my faith, my knowledge, my being … When you begin to see the possibilities of music, you desire to do something really good for people, to help humanity free itself from its hangups … I want to speak to their souls.” - John Coltrane
What a dynamite! Thanks!
