This weeks mix keeps up the sunny feel with music from Spain and in particular, Catalan jazz. Catalunya (or Catalonia) is a region of northern Spain that includes Barcelona and the Pyrenees. The name Catalunya has been used since the late 11th century. Some historians suggest that Catalunya derives from the name Gothia ("Land of the Goths”). But I can assure listeners that this mix of jazz from the region is far from gothic! Most of these tracks represent music from talented contemporary Catalonian jazz artists. You may not recognise all the artist's, but don’t let that put you off - there is some quality music in the mix. I am always on a mission to educate your taste buds - so put on your shades, pour yourself a cava, relax and dig the vibe!

Ow, this is cool Tony, enjoying this to the fullest,
Sometimes I think it's sad that it has so few listeners, I loved it :) Maybe it helps a little to give it new life :)
Guido, thanks for listening to this mix from nine years ago. As alway appreciate your support. A lot of the music on here is difficult to find and was only available on promotional CDs, so it was good to give the artists some exposure. There is some lovely music to discover here!
Solid set. Good listening...Is Gorka Ben Sidran in disguise?:)
Thanks Dr Jazz. Rest in Peace my friend.
Nerve pleasing my brother ...All the right components to refresh the day from it 's horrors

Loved Calylunia! I listened as I played Solitaire and answered email most of the evening. I'll surely listen again!
