"Play in a Day" is a guitar tutor written by Bert Weedon. Guitarists who have acknowledged Bert's help in their early days through this book are : John Lennon, Paul McCartney, Eric Clapton, Mark Knopfler, Brian May, Pete Townshend, Sting, Mike Oldfield, Mike Read, John Miles and Steve Hillage. There are many more. It is estimated that Bert Weedon has influenced some 4 million guitar players since "Play in a Day" was published. I'm one of them. And these tracks are the kind of music we played when I was learning. Hank Marvin isn't represented, because the Shadows are a goeswithoutsaying. Most of these tracks sound like what most guitar groups sounded like when most of us first played through a Watkins Copycat and a VOX AC30.
THANKS BERT! Detailed Tracklist here: www.w-files.de/playinaday-mix.htm
