Set0807

For some reason, set0807 took a few days to come together, but sometimes that is the way it works, and I just let it happen and don't rush it. As Carrie Newcomer observed early in her songwriting carreer in her song Waiting, "Some things just take a little while, Some things just have to take their own time."

Anyway set0807 begins with Alabama, from Neil Young's 1972 Harvest album, followed by a new (2025) track from My Baby's Echo album called Siren Song, then the 2007 Raising Sand album from Robert Plant & Alison Krauss with Fortune Teller, and the set ends with the instrumental track For Pete's Sake from the self-titled 1968 album from Sweetwater. Sweetwater was supposed to be the opening act at Woodstock but fate intervened. I don't know what kind of speakers they mixed track this on, it required some fairly radical EQ to sound good on a modern system. But this vintage 1960's music is definitly worth it. Another musically and sonically satisfying set!
