Designed to help our bodies metabolize the the fear, rage, numbness and grief coursing through the collective as our primal root wounds get stirred en masse. This is not about providing answers or stoking the fires of our burning questions (who are my people? who has the right to live where? who can I trust? who is the oppressed / oppressor?) It's about providing a safe space to process what our minds cannot and hopefully, connecting us deeper to our hearts.
It's meant to be danced. Even (or especially) by self-proclaimed "I-can't" dancers. I recommend that you start laying down and breathing. Give yourself permission to follow what feels good... and to move when (and only when) you feel called to. I also encourage you to gather with others and dance it together –so long as you respect one another's bodies and boundaries and hold respectful, trusting space for the big feelings that are likely to surface.
Big love to all. I believe in us.
