The Allnighters album was targeted to the mod market and released in 1980 at the peak of the mod revival. It brought together all aspects of the original mod sound, from the raw R&B of Alexis Corner's Blues Incorporated to the soulful sounds of James Brown and even the sugary pop of Bruce Channel (though I dont think you'll be hearing Hey Baby at many mod parties nowadays). Thrown in to the mix were a couple of High Numbers tunes, which were probably the main selling point for many mods. The album became an essential for anyones collection.
