Forbidden Love Mix - 1990

This mix was recorded live in Club Gold. The music was recorded directly to magnetic tape without pre/post-editing or mastering. You will experience it exactly how the crowd did that evening ... the good, the bad, and the ugly of live recording without filters.

Gold was a massive club built in a sort of nihilistic New York mode, in a warehouse building that looks as if it had been hit by a scud missile. The Spartan decor might be called wounded high-tech, with lots of raw concrete and torn metal edges.

There are at least two different sound systems pulsing dance music in its seven stories, several of which are open to each other through gaping holes ripped through the concrete floors. On the top floor is a private club for members only offering food, exclusivity, and discretion.

Enjoy the full-length and/or extended throwback sounds. These nights were the workouts for all, from a slow grind to a full-on sweat. Share with like minds and keep the party going!
