Bedtime Beats #1

One of my favorite things lately is to lie in bed and listen to music while waiting to fall asleep. I find that it's a great way to set my mind wandering and to disconnect from the worries of the day.

I've got this idea to try and create a series of sets that would work for this - a soundtrack to falling asleep, if you will. I'm going for mellow progressive house, with a steady beat and atmospheric sounds.
It's what works for me. The beat pulls my thoughts along, and the sounds push them off in new and interesting directions.

I'm just starting out in composing my own sets for this, so it may be a bit hit and miss for a while. I believe I'll figure it out eventually though, and I enjoy it enough to keep trying.

This particular set starts out rather energetic, with a breakbeat track at the start. It calms down and mellows out though, and hopefully the music will take you on a pleasant journey.
