Xenomorph Radio #7 w/ Gabe Meier - Threads Radio - May 6th 20

Astral Plane Recordings founder and NTS Radio regular Gabe Meier is the music wizard behind the next Xenomorph Radio episode. Operating underneath our eyes indirectly boosting our physical and spiritual perception, he’s been a constant source of evocative, shapeless write ups and sound outputs. Interested in interdisciplinary arts, as well as ancient and modern music, his vision provides new alienating panoramas - where traditional and contemporary culture live and flourish together.

The reference point of this mix is the aesthetic established in Paul Schrader's 'Mishima: A Life In Four Chapters' movie. The basic structure for the mix is a series of interlocking circles/stage sets, each individually lit and autonomous from the previous/next - each track is chosen to transmit the way each stage set in the film feels totally self-enclosed within its own visual ecology. The tracks make up a decent amount of the mix and exemplify the circular, self-enclosed sequencing he strives for.
