In today's episode, Gastor sits down with Marcus D.

Marcus is a producer out of Seattle, WA known for his jazz influenced sound and for his work with Bop Alloy. We talked about his love of Seattle sports, his early start in the hiphop scene, and the amazing support he has gotten from the music scene in Japan.

On the importance of having your own sound:

If you're unique and people just haven't found you, there's never a point where you might not blow up. But if you're trying to sell out, that's a bad look.

On following his own path:

If you have something that's already well done, that means that somebody brought that from obscurity to the market. It doesn't make sense to try to be a carbon copy.

On his position against asking artist to "do it for the love:"

All artist deserve to be compensated for their work. If you want to help the economy of your community, the one you're trying to make a living from, you need to put back into it.
