In troubling and hectic times like these, we need a sincere celebration of good vibes - more than ever before. That’s why “Do The Yachtrockaway“ was born, a daytime summer event in NYC that’s focused on the softer side of rock, jazz, folk, soul, and disco - the crispy sound that was initially known as "West Coast" and later "Yacht Rock“. This mix is a little taste of our next “Do The Yachtrockaway“ event in Brooklyn on Sunday, July 23rd at the El Dorado Yacht Club (part of Diviera Drive in Williamsburg, where an actual Yacht is on site!). This mix is a true amagalmation of all things smooth, ranging from Thundercat’s crooning - and even some Reggae and Latin tinged tracks - via forgotten classics to private press blue eyed soul pearls.
