Tsunami earworm

Tsunami earworm

00:00

A year ago my son and his wife were in Japan when the earthquake/tsunami struck the east coast. Fortunately he was safe but we had several hours of serious concern - this of course is nothing compared to what the Japanese people have endured. This song was said to be the best song to keep spirits up after the tragedy.
This selection is 19 versions (plus a video link) covering several languages and several musical styles (mostly a bit cheesy). My favourites are the 11 minute jazz workout and the ukelele version. The last in the playlist is the original hit by Kyu Sakamoto.
I hope they make you smile too.

Cheesy, like, but a fun playlist. Trouble is I now have the melody as an earthworm churning away inside me heid! Favourites: melcochita; Chet Atkins; Hollyridge Strings; Bobby Vee
