What began as me anticipating being “alone” on Valentine’s day turned into a mix of my favorite love songs/sounds that culminates in one of my strongest moments in a mixtape: a serious deconstruction of The Bad Plus’s “Silence is the Question”. To those of you familiar with their live album from Japan (which i must confess i’ve never heard), you already know that “Love is the Answer”, which the Talking Heads have something to say to you about.
