I’d like to hear some of the older stuff that I heard floating in my boat at the lake on Sunday evening! Must have been 86 or 87.

Ahhh, Richard Wahnfried is Klaus Schulze. That explains it. Transfer Station Blue was by Michael Shrieve, Kevin Shrieve and Klaus Schultze. OK. Guess "Druck" is a remix of the original or another "movement" or something!? Still VERY HAPPY to hear that tune!! Thanks Forest :-)

Starstreams

Hi Phil, Good for you, hearing the similarities and digging to identify 'Richard Wahnfried' - here's something else that's been rumored about both versions of this song. Carlos Santana plays guitar on them. Michael Shrieve of course was Santana's drummer for many years and having Carlos sit in anonymously seems very possible, especially given that Klaus Schulze was also not wanting to reveal his real name. The 'Druck' version is also a little bit longer than Michael's 'Communique: Approach Spiral' from his Transfer Station Blue album.

Phil Keesee

I did not know that about Michael Shrieve and Carlos Santana, cool! Also, "Druck" came out BEFORE Transfer Station Blue. Hmmm. Who's song is it? Sounds like Klaus Schulze to me. Things you learn from day to day. Thanks for the reply. Musical Starstreams is THE REASON I like Electronica/Ambient. THANK YOU Forrest!!

Hey, Forest, I was enjoying this show while on my way to the Grand Canyon for business this morning and when "Druck" came up, I said (to myself), "Cool!, Communique: Approach Spiral from Transfer Station Blue!!!", but that's not the name of tune or artist listed here. Am I mistaken? I bought Transfer Station Blue back in the late '80s because you used to play it on the radio version of Musical Starstreams. I love that CD. What's up? Just curious?
