01 Mechanics as Perfect as the Heart

First in this series - after a long break from making mixes. For this one I've done the cross-fades and level equalisation in Ableton Live for the first time, hopefully successfully. This is also the debut of the Starlings theme clip.

It's a blend of some pretty calm electro/acoustic tracks with the odd bit of noise rock, and J Mascis doing what he does best. Some of this stuff has been sitting in a "tracks to consider for mixes" playlist for a few years, while I've been on hiatus. Others are things I've gotten into fairly recently… So there are surprises for me too from both sources.

Having subscribed to The Wire magazine for the last year and a half, there are a few things going to crop up that I've heard through their Wire Tapper and Below the Radar compilations , so a major hat tip to them (www.thewire.co.uk).
