Winter Mix #2: death, war & summer

The sun shone in through the window and across his memories of the night before, the week before, the year before. When you've seen honest plans turn into ruins, barren fields, whole towns going up in smoke -- the new summer mornings don't look as inviting as the old ones. Partially complete but still on the road he initiated a kitchen expedition, foraging in the dirt and debris for the makings of a cup of tea. Time to get philosophical.
