Otherworld, a new local artist creating instrumental, electronic, some-what-ambient though mostly abrasive soundscapes. Sounds which evolve and distort, twist and fold in on themselves. Most impressively - this set features clear and distinct compositions rather than faceless backdrops. Even while lacking the common essential elements of popular song, these tracks are memorable, containing melodic content and their own identities. The artists previous efforts include work with Anxiety, Herbert Powell, Helena Celle and more - though this project clearly borrows nothing, operating from a completely new place.
