What initially started out as a simple idea to paint portraits, evolved into a commemoration of all the people of Uzbekistan, the natives, the immigrants and the temporary guests. This project serves as a reflection of all the different demographics and cultures, as well as the hospitality of the Uzbek people. As time and economic development have changed the face of Uzbekistan, so have the faces in my portraits.
