The kingdom represents a NEW WAY to be human… a new way to live.
The beatitudes represent what it looks like to live in the kingdom of God. RADICAL and REVOLUTIONARY demands that will offend the religion out of us. Those who mourn (a godly sorrow for rebellion and misplaced hope) and the meek (a tamed wild animal/gentleness) will begin to understand the kingdom more clearly.
