SlopperVJ is the stage name I adopted more than 25 years ago when I started playing live video content on huge screens at live gigs and dance parties.
SlopperVJ was a play on RUN DMC's song mentioning "Sucker DJ's" as the name was simply taken on to piss the DJ's off, suckers!
Since then I started NZ's first real outdoor rave (Mumuland) with my workmates 20 years ago. and have played behind some of the worlds DJ greats such as, Carl Cox, Tiesto & Paul Okenfold to name but a few.

I consider myself to be one of New Zealand's first ever real VJ's with the main distinction being most the content is self made not just downloaded from the work of others.

Still to this day I'm delivering the goods but my level of respect for what makes a chosen few people worthy of the label, "DJ" has increased big time.o I now celebrate the art but will never stop calling out the fakers -)
