"Dancing is not just getting up painlessly, like a leaf blown in the wind; dancing is when you tear your heart out and rise above your body to hang suspended between the worlds." ~ Rumi
Hey Deborah, really enjoyed this one, had a very rootsy feel to it with the sweet spot coming 17 mins in on the Kamelemba track and continuing through Massawa and Kundalini Kings. Really thoughtfully put together in terms of selection and flow as is all of your output. What really did it for me with this though was that I was looking for a set to give me a respite from relentless 4/4 while still providing some groove and momentum and this nailed it.
Hey Dave, I'm glad you enjoyed this set. All three of the tracks you've mentioned are wonderful, glad they hit the sweet spot, and that the set gave you a bit of a respite from the usual 4/4. Yes, I put a lot of thought into track selection and programming, thanks for noticing and commenting on it. Always enjoy your own sets as well.
YO bro...lol...thanks so very much for all the time you spent listening to my recent sets, whether solo or collab...think you know how much your musical advice/imput and your own outstanding sets have influenced me...yes, I guess I did step out of my shell a bit with this one...am slowly learning to trust my intuition with track selection, programming, and mixing. Check your Skype messages when you get a chance. Hugs bro, again thanks so very much. XXXOOO :))))
