welcome to Sonic Shakedown 87 ~ summer's last stand ...
Let's talk about earworms and our closing track ~ first saw Dead Sea Apes perform the track Psychic Tension in April 2024 and the riff has lived in my head ever since ... at the time of writing, that's 867 days and must be longest earworm in history! Delighted to say the album Psychic Tension will be released soon on the Cardinal Fuzz label, and about time too.
Many thanks to Muun Bato for an early preview of their newest track Where You Sleep, plus all new tracks from Glisten Trick, Black Doldrums and Gnod too. Also, adding to the mix, we have another cut from the Mind Your Mind benefit compilation recently released on Shore Dive Records.
Our cover stars this month are the Daughters of Eve who rode the '60s Beat Boom from their base in Chicago, USA. Their drummer Debi Pomeroy wrote about the band on spectropop.com, check it out.
thanks very much for listening to Sonic Shakedown
