(our host Tony did say this programme is “a warm subject” ……… some linked programmes ……. Programme 439 tony is on fire this week with lots of the big gun blazing.......Leonard Rosenman......John Williams.....Jerry Goldsmith.....Jerome Moross.....Alex North...... Bernard Herrmann.....Rachel Portman......Phillipe Sarde and the fabulous William Alwyn with (I suspect from previous programmes) one of our host’s favourite films and score “The History of Mr Polly” I also suspect that Tony would like to see and hear a new Recording of the ENTIRE score. One highlight for me was the inclusion of Joseph Locke with “Blaze Away” which all Soundtracks listeners will recognise ( if you are a certain age) as the theme music for the ABC MINORS. Another name from the same era as Joseph Locke is a completely forgotten name......” John McHugh “ any chance of a play one day ? Our host only has an hour, no time for “Fire Over England” you could say the title sums up the past year and the year to come. Stay Safe.
