An organ version of Poledouris's masterpiece score for Conan the Barbarian has been released, Soundtracks presents film music in varied versions - instrumentalists, voices and the composers themselves at the keyboard.

Versions programme 174 and a very surprising and pleasing programme it turned to be, not the soundtrack but other versions. “Conan the Barbarian” on the pipe organ, “Gone with the Wind” as never heard before, “OHMSS”, lovely James Galway version of “Mondo Cane”, “The Bad and the Beautifull” on Sax, “Star Trek”and “Independance Day”. Tony, you can invite Bronislau Kaper to play “Lord Jim” and Alfred Newman to plat “Anastasia” and Henry Mancini to play “Two for the Road”and Patrick Doyle to plat “Much Ado”or any of their film scores Anytime. John Williams played “Invitation” 1952 by Bronislau Kaper (this theme was used in “A Life of her Own” 1950) , John Williams “Schindler’s List”, Jerry Goldsmith’s “Powder” , The Three Tenors gave us “Black Orpheus”and Barbara Streisand sang Andre Previn’s fabulous “Four Horsemen of the apocalypse”with lyrics by the Bergman’s.. Sarah Brightman slipped in before “Conan” returned to end a different version of soundtracks.
